Mrs. Stein’s son had photosensitivity issues, and she thought blackout blinds might make his room more comfortable for him.
Blackout blinds are a pretty large category, and include any sort of window blinds that provide total light protection. The set we designed for the Steins uses ten faux-wooden slats that rotate in a sliding frame. We added an overlapping foam layer to the underside of each of the blackout blinds’ slats, to make sure there were no exposed cracks.
